I grow small salad tomatoes indoors during the winter, during the spring I plant those plants back in my garden.

My quest is: I would like to grow large tomatoes indoors during the winter, which plants should I purchase?

Sure, there is a lot of info on the web about these, but I would rather ask people that have grown their own.

Thanks for your help!!!!

PS- Zone 5, and I want winter to end!!!!!!!!!!

I am assuming you have a green house?? Johnny's select seed shows if it is a good cannidate for greenhouse... I would think other seedsmen would have the same information

I think your best bets are those sold as greenhouse tomatoes (yer bigger seed companies, e.g. Stokes, list them as a separate category of tomatoes under that name 'greenhouse tomatoes'). I don't believe *large* tomatoes do very well under lights/indoors - AFAIK your best bet is greenhouse-type 'bunch' tomatoes that get maybe 2-3" across

Good luck,

Pat
