That, digitS', was either written by a man who thought he knew women or written by a woman (Madonna?) to justify a lifestyle of hubris as seen on the telly and movies. No woman wants to be overworked and underpaid unless it is done for love of her family.

You are referring to the "just to have fun" idea?

The author of the linked article in the NYTimes (covered also in the WAPost) was written by Noreena Hertz. She is a professor at University College, London. She spoke at the Women in the World Summit in New York City on April 24.

I don't really know anything about her but she is an economist and here's something in Newsweek about her and one of her books - link.

And how would I know be expected to know that? I wouldn't know of Madonna except for 8 years of Parochial school (and a daughter.)

LOL I had a fight with a much younger friend about it once. The fight got so heated we went to tower records which was open till midnight to settle it . Cindy did it first and better
