May wakes up the quiet ground,
With gentle light and soft new sound.
Blossoms stretch in colors bright,
Pink and white in morning light.
Bees hum low from flower to flower,
Busy in each sunny hour.
Rain will fall, then drift away,
Leaving green in every sway.
Birds return with cheerful song,
Days grow warm and shadows long.
Soft breeze dances through the day—
Spring has found its home in May.
