Then we went from that to this

Looks pretty huh??? We hardly got anything because of the heat and the bugs. Not even corn! GAH!

So... then this year started with this

And today I transplanted our volunteer white cucumbers from last year into a different bed (the ones with the horrible teepees... LOL) and put in some more compost, etc, etc. i only worked on it this afternoon, but, I think its starting to look okay. :-)

I still need to clean up outside, and pick up my tools and whatnot. But I've still got a ways to go this year! LOL

Looking good!! I remember those wonderful raised beds from last season... Here's hoping the pests don't find you this year!!

Oh hooray and gorgeous! I hope this year totally blows your mind. You're right on top of things. :D

:)

Thanks guys!!! I'm really hoping that the pests don't find me this year as well!! I'm going to plant some radish, catmint, borage, onion and garlic to try and keep pests away this year. Lets hope it works!!! I'm hoping that this year blows me away too.

What I'm REALLY hoping for is that we can get some fencing in, and I'll be able to put the ducks out there!! I guess if they're hand tame I might not need the fence tho, eh?

So.... digging out my bean bed there were a couple of volunteer tomato seedlings. I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of them, so..... we now have 15 tomato plants. 11 in the bed, and 4 in big black pots. If I had planted more lettuce I would say that at least we could have lettuce and tomato sandwiches!!
