I dont sew ..I can not sew ...I have many talents but sewing ..never going to happen and I know it ..I have killed 6 count them six Singer's myself

so I have given up

but my friend sews :ya and will make my grandson some garden gloves if I can find a pattern :)

I would love to have her make them

I know you can buy them but home made is nicer and how I want him to see things done :) it is my legacy he will get the fabric take it to her and she will do it ...much nicer than Walmart you know?

anyone know where i can find a cute and durable 3 year old with :epGIANT PAWS!!! pattern for her?

I googled it but ended up with a bunch of crap

help?

thank you in advance

What is she going to make them out of?

Can you trace that boy's hands to use as a template?

I've only had experience making mittens..so much easier! But of no use in a garden. :hu

that is EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! thanks so much and yes I will take pictures :) I am so excited about these

I wish I could tell you in words how much this child means to me

seriously ...

there are NO freaking words!!

Hi there,

Here are the instructions, and yes, as bbh said, you trace your grandson's hand out and then some for allowance.

I read these instructions and they seem very easy, now you just have to find the right fabric you like.

How fun, I want to see pictures when you are done.

Ron

I may have to try this one out so that I can make some dust-mits:

ok I got the fabric and his handprints the project should begin tomorrow :)

I am so excited he just loves gloves :)

I need to do this too Hidelight! I bought a pair for my daughter at walmart and they turned out to be WAY too big for her tiny little hands at 2 1/2. She's a really HUGE help in the garden, so I want to make some so she can continue to help until she grows into the others.

Thanks for the link Ron....

I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine (like I don't do enough around here huh) so I can through together some gloves!

my grandson will put a big droopy glove on one hand and with his bare hand pick a berry put it in the floppy gloved hand and then drop it in the bucket :) the berry must touch the glove to go in the bucket...

he is three did I mention that :love

Vfem I just commented on your busy self in the other thread :) like I said there it is better than crack :thumbsup

not that you woudl ever do that but my point is there are far worse things than making things to be busy doing and so much reward in things done from scratch ... as Jerry Garcia said "it is all about the journey"

just take a rest now and then so you can remind yourself why you do all these things and reinspire :) I am old so I know what is important
