White Plains NY,weekends Lagrange NY.
Today when came in to work, I found 4 potted weeping cedars on my front stoop they where covered in red bows. I once found a box of kittens the same way!!. A note said they where from clients Christmas party, she didn't want to throw them away so gave to me. Not sure what I will do with them, yard at White Plains house to small, Lagrange house I am putting in a orchard, cedars carry apple cedar rust. Anyone want to adopt?
 
sorry, i have the same situation with apple trees going in. need to get rid of a huge cedar in the yard to make my apples happy.
 
I just googled weeping cedar, they look so cool. I never heard of them before.
 
You've got to have room for them somewhere... I see them used as foundation planting. Not sure if they will get too big. What a nice surprise!
 
I have a different opinion. A plant where you don't want it is a weed.

I suggest running an ad on Craigslist to see if anyone wants them either really cheap or for free.
 
Weeping Alaskan Cedar Pendula Chamaecyparis Nootkatensis tag says specimen plant 40 tall 10 wide. Sad thng is I love weeping trees. They are about 6 feet tall now.
 
Well, that's definitely better than a box of kittens NYboy!

Whatever variety they are they will eventually get very large.

Beware of those innocent looking foundation plantings!
I just removed two hemlock trees last year from a clients foundation planting. They had started growing against his eaves. With an eventual height of about 80 feet they obviously needed to go away.
Some landscapers are all about the visual appeal of their design, and don't worry too much about the maturing size of some of those cute conifers 10 years down the road.
 
That is impressive, to bad you don't have the space for them.:(
