Life around Garden and Café

Everything is growing nicely, the rainbow chards that overwintered in the greenhouse, broad beans (for shoots), salad greens

Are you also sowing seeds for autumn/winter plants? I will do soon. In the past I always sowed too late (around July) and never got good growth.

The cafe also opened two hours today, and then I can play a bit in the garden.

Today's lunch set

Our weather in April is unbelievably sunny - although the night is still cold (3~5C, light frost sometimes, but didn't cause damage).

I spent again many many hours in the garden as now i have two full days off. I picked purple and yellow as the main colors for the container-based garden in front of the cafe. All kinds of pansies also join salad and desserts.

I also harvested the pea shoots yesterday, yummy.

This morning I made a cake for a little girl who has birthday today. She chose green grapes and blueberries for the filling.
A birthday cake made with only natural ingredients — no artificial flavors, no complicated decoration.

Both the earl grey cake and the cream chantilly are light in sugar, and guided by the quiet beauty of fruits, pansies, and mints.

Simple, gentle, and made for a lovely moment.

I feel that the things I truly love are finally settling back into place in my daily life.
