looked at the weekly sale flyer for food lion they are having a 3 day sale on progresso soups, so on the way home from breakfast we stopped in picked up ground turkey for a pot of turkey chili,cat litter,beer and a couple cans of soup, we got to the soup section we were a bit confused on the sale so asked one of the stockers about whats on sale ,he could not answer at that time the manager walked by and he asked him.
he said all progresso soups are on sale.... .99 each
really! we were like 2 kids in a candy store.. came home with 33 cans.

since the dw car needs a new headlight will be hitting it again tomorrow...

That is one heck of a good sale! Progresso makes good soup. I'd rather make mine, but for canned soup, Progresso is hard to beat.

yup love homemade soups as well, but there are times that you just dont have time to cook or one person wants a different type. yes progresso is a hard to beat canned soup....

while out getting dw a eyeball we swung by the lion and scooped up another 20.. it was picked though pretty good, dw asked why did i get more clam chowder since she bought 4 cans last week...guess we are set on chowder for a bit....

looked at the receipt regular price is 1.89 ea @ 53 can= 100.17, with the sale .99 @53 cans= 52.47..... we saved 46.29
i like reading grocery store sale ads every week.... sometimes they have great deals then other weeks boring..

nope we could have gone in there friday night and bought every can they had in stock...

I get rain checks if there is a good sale and they don't have my flavors. They're good for 3 months.
