Hello everyone,
I'm new to this website. I had a quick question. I just harvested some mint from the garden, I picked off all the leaves that I didn't want, and took off any flowers I saw. I threw away the flowers/seeds, but was wondering if I can put the leaves that I picked off in my compost pile?
Thanks for your help!

I'd put the leaves and stems in there but avoid the seeds. If you have a tumbler composter you might be able to kill all the seeds but in a compost pile you never get all of them.

Thank you Ridgrunner. I put the leaves and stems in. Never made a compost pile before, so I'm kind of just feeling my way through right now.

Welcome if compost pile is done right the heat should kill ANY seeds
Thank you Nyboy, This is my first time making a compost pile so not sure how good it will be. LOL!
