Mint; why isn't it thriving in this box? What species is mine? In my aviary. & Keeping it under control

I have the opposite issue as you, I can't make my mint go away! I planted some years ago and because I occasionally move soil around, it's coming up very aggressively in some places. I've dug up entire 5 X 3 beds trying to pick out every bit of runner I could find! Lol

That's the problem my grandmother has, it's creeping into her vineyard. She and you should get Coturnix Quail, that mint I put in my aviary, all that's left is four stalks and now they're trying to dig it up!

What's the best way to wash mint- or any herb for that matter? Will any of the taste be washed out if I just give it a good rinse?

Washing does not remove flavor from herbs, but it Does clean off any dust, dirt or debris from harvesting user error.

If I put chocolate mint next to spear mint, will they mix?

Probably not. They both send runners underground. Do some I'net research if you are worried.

My lemon mint I just planted is very wilty and has brown spots on the leaves?

Mint grows so easily that I wouldn't worry about it. Make sure that you have good drainage.
