This is the path to my little koi pond.

The crabapple trees are in full bloom. They really do rival the cherry trees in DC.

This is the bench where you can sit at night by the light of the solar lamps and watch the frogs on the rocks and lily pads.

In late September and October, depending on the weather really, the crabapples make pretty pink jelly.

Oh, Miss Prissy how beautiful! We just planted a crabapple this year and it is also in full bloom but the little thing is only 5' tall. How old are your gorgeous trees?

Just beautiful and what a perfect area / bench. I must not show my wife or it is off to the garden center for a crabapple tree and bench.

What a beautiful tree! I didn't know they were so lovely.

Are the berries/fruits/whatever you call them messy, or do the birds and such clean them up?

And, are crabapples poisoness? I remember a tale of such from my childhood, but I think it may be likely that it was told to keep us from messing with the neighbors trees...

No, they are not poisonous. They make lovely pink jelly for Christmas gifts. ;)

I would like to try some. Mybe I could get my mom or grandma to make some. Do you just put it on toast like any other jelly?
