My Garden -- An Update

Hi!
I know I LOVE seeing photos of everyone's gardens, so I thought I'd share that I posted an update on my blog about how things are coming along in the garden now. You're invited to have a look!

There are cucumbers, and gourds, tomatoes and sunflowers, corn and beans, and let's not forget peppers, pumpkins and squash!

Thanks Jul! I have fun out there... I would love to spend MORE time out there, but there's that thing called a DAY JOB, and the Texas heat really takes a toll on this Pacific Northwest born and raised girl.

I just really enjoy seeing photos of everyone's hard work, and thought I'd share as well. Glad you enjoyed!

Your garden is very aesthetically pleasing! I like all the flowers intermixed with the veggies. I thought the layout sketch was neat too. Good use of space trellising plants on the chicken fence. I bet they really enjoy the extra shade this time of year.

Miss Daisy- everything looks absolutely lovely! I love the way you have things grouped around your shed (or chicken coop). Looks just great!

Thanks!! I thought I allowed enough room between things, but am finding that I didn't... While it's POSSIBLE to get to the center plants, it's not EASY! But I do enjoy a challenge... ha!

I'm lucky I don't have one of those pesky day jobs that really gets in the way of my gardening, so to speak. I am a substitute for our school district, so I'm free all summer I just have to work during planting and some of the harvesting season.

We've been slowly getting all my gardens into my new area. This year we put of a greenhouse and are putting in some raised beds around it. Then we will retire the areas we have been gardening it, they are really too far from a water source. I will try and get some pics of what we have and get them up for all to see.
