My new orchids

Those Are absolutely incredible! That is a very generous gift. My orchid has sentimental value. It will break my heart if I kill it. Although maybe rehoming it would be a good option. I can go just about anything in the yard but houseplants? They have to be able to fend for themselves for the most part.
I haven't found them to be difficult. . .so far. . .and all three of my first orchids rebloomed this year. My plan? Set them in a north window and water only on Sunday. Then drain any extra water and let 'em be. On the few weeks I forgot the Sunday watering, they just skipped the week.

Second one is courtesty of Union Square, so it is something OTHER than a Phaleopsis (no I don't know what, the label is cryptic.)

Pretty! It looks like an intergeneric hybrid in the Brassavola, Cattleya, Laelia complex. Does the label start with letters like "Blc." or "Lc."? That will give you some sense of the parentage, but many of these are crosses of crosses so it gets complicated quickly.
