My peppers need to get the lead out...

and start growing already! They seem stuck at about 3" tall. Any suggestions on how to get them growing? They are in a mini-greenhouse outside, and I have them on the top shelves, where it is the hottest. I don't want to over-fertilize. What do you think?

I think that pepper are really really dependant on heat. Like they need way more than you think. I live in the deep south an my pepper are still 3 inches.

Mine seem to be stalled as well. They seem about the same size as when we first put them in the ground. :/

We had a hot spell this week and just forgot about them and left them outside. They loved it. Every time I neglect my peppers they seem to do better. That's why I love them!

I have my peppers that haven't got their true leaves yet. When i have them on the deck to give them some sun, i constantly worry about them, but the sun and heat doesn't seem to bother them. The eggplants on the other hand seem to wilt a little since theirs too much heat and sun so i have to be careful with those, maybe thats just with small eggplant seedlings.

Yes, give them as much heat and sun as you can, they'll like that .

Peppers are the 1st veggies I start - back in February.

I'm trying to get the tomatoes slowed down but the peppers are tiny. The tomatoes were started 10 days ++, later than the peppers.

Actually, they are both suffering from too many storms and clouds. Now that I think about it, I'm suffering right along with them . . .

Don't be surprised if they go into that hesitation mode again when you set them out in the open garden. Life is tuff for a little chilli pepper . . .

I agree.... You can't hardly get it too hot for peppers. I try to keep my sunroom between 80-90 degrees for mine. They always seem to take off once I get them in the ground too, even if they stalled out all that time in the flat.

Mine are all stalled out too, I just put them in pots where they will stay, or in the ground. I swear, they have been 3" tall FOREVER!!!!

I kind of wish I started them earlier, but if they are anything like the tomatoes I put in the ground.... will be happy to say I'll have them double in size in a week!
