Thanks to Nyboy's encouragement, I got a Honey Crisp apple tree. I also transplanted my bay leaf, hoping it will grow much bigger.

I went to Home Depot for a bag of soil and came back with a tree. You should have seen my husband's face, it was kind of "Why in the world are you buying more trees?"

Fortunately I don't have as much space as you Nyboy, so I can't do too much damage. ;)

Steve, I remembered you like Honey Crisp, so I wanted to try that.

The pots were seconds at a pottery place. I bought them years ago and I paid $25 and $35. I love them too!

Contrary to what you see, I don't like to garden in pots. They are high maintenance and I forget to fertilize regularly. Here is my new trough planted with 2 blueberry plants. The cobalt pot has another blueberry and the black pot has a Bearss lime tree.

I love those pictures Mary! That container you have succulents in on your deck is just the same kind I use as a wood box by the wood stove.
Your new trough is great, I keep looking for a great big used one on CL. I want to put it at the end of the driveway by the road and fill it with sunflowers.

I think you're right though. What you really need in your backyard to give it a little more style pop is a chartreuse Farmall Cub. :D
