New raised beds and Square foot gardening

So I decided to try my hand at square foot gardening this year. I made a 4x8 raised bed last year that I filled with garden loam
so this year I figured I would make another and just finished putting it together. Have my pvc hoop house built over both beds
and the quadrants done on the new bed that I filled with Mels mix. Going to use that one for veggies and the one with the straight garden loam
for flowers. I've added some chicken manure to it last year and I am starting a compost pile with this years manure and waste.

Forgot, you can always cover the grass with layers of newspaper or cardboard to help smother out the grass and it will decompose in the soil.
