Been gardening off and on in rentals for years. Just got my 1st permanent place and I'm exited to get to the real nitty gritty. I'm starting off with raised beds and a east west sun exposure. Any helpful tips and tricks are well welcomed. Thank you for reading.

Welcome to the forum from the Pacific Northwest!

My beds run north to south. Full sun most of the day.
I'm starting, too. Strawberries in boxes. Other berries, too.
Not set on vegetables. Made a list of what my family likes.
Planted a bare root lilac to (eventually) make shade for my mom to hang out while I work outside.
Im creating space in my garage so that next year I'll have a space for seedlings.
