I went out to the garden today. I found MORE PUMPKINS. I have 3 that are ready to pick because they are orange. The big one is still green but I think I have about 15 more out there. I just can't see them.

I also found one that I tried to move and found it was already off the vine so I brought it in even though it's still not ripe because it's really green.

Wow, that's cool!
I was in my sailboat anchored out in the Salish Sea a few years back and I watched an eagle grab a salmon out of the water and eat it on the beach! It was so cool!
Another time I watched an eagle swoop down with multiple tries attempting to grab a duck out of the water! Poor thing (the duck) was trying to hide underwater, but she ran out of air and the eagle snatched her out of the water - never to be seen again. The eagle must have had a wonderful duck dinner that evening!

My mom and I are canning the pumpkin. We have already done 7 quarts and I am going to be doing it after my mom goes home. I'm so excited to see how it goes for me because this is the first time I have ever helped can and then I get to do it myself.
