Oh Boy, now I'm back to growing sweet potatoes, again. Well, the one time I came home from the soopermarket with sweet potatoes and tried to make a pie ... it was sticky sweet! Obviously, I didn't know what I was doing .

I've been making "pumpkin" pie out of winter squash since I was a pre-teen -- carrying a Pink Banana squash out to the chopping block and splitting it open with an axe.

6 out of 6 of our grandkids LOVE pumpkin pie ( so we are betting that the next 3 will too. Did I mention that all of our grandkids LOVE pumkn pie ? There is NO other pie than pumpkin pie, so we will now corner the market on pumpkins.
