We had the most beautiful RED sunrise this morning. The clouds were that overcast, rippely sort and the blood red light just oozed across the sky.
Made that 4am wakeup worth while.
8:00 am in Applegate Valley, Oregon. Crisp 21 degrees, gorgeous views from this VRBO property, which also is a working vineyard. Applegate is a wine lovers paradise.
It didn't used to be, @murphysranch . Applegate valley is tiny and within commuting distance of cities in the Rogue River valley. So, the people on the few small farms there - that's what they did, commute into town to work.
We used to show up there in the summer with our inner tubes to enjoy floating down the Applegate river. A nice dip under McKee Bridge ... picnic in the park!
In the fall, we'd be back - driving on thru to cut firewood on the national forest. Bring the load in the old Dodge back to our farmhouse near South Stage Road ...
