The song went to #1 the next year after it was recorded by Nat King Cole as the theme to the movie: "The Boy with Green Hair." The story is that of a war orphan, Peter, who awakens one morning to find that his hair has turned green. He runs into the forest where he is confronted by the spirits of other war orphans. They tell him to carry the message that war is dangerous to children but when he returns to his home he is at first taunted by the town people until he agrees to shave his head. Later, he learns that there are adults who will listen to his message.
