I'm going to be gardening in ground and in old feed buckets and barrels. I'm also going to be building some raised beds from pallets. I found a solar powered watering system I hope to get set up for watering this year. I will post pictures as I get further in to the garden year. I'm trying to incorporate a compost and hugelkultur system in the buckets and barrels. I'm also considering adding a worm zone for the buckets and barrels. I'm hoping to beat the crabgrass by elevating the garden also. Hopefully everything will go better this year and not as much weeding.

I'm hoping these work out for me. They are about 2 ft tall and hold 250 lbs of feed for cattle and horses. The 2nd picture shows the compost and hugelkultur system.

I got the buckets planted and in one there's sweet red pepper spinach Swiss Chard and marigolds and the other one is lovage borage thyme and chervil

Hoping you drilled drainage holes...
Yes. I counted the drain holes and 3 have 10 and the other 2 have 9. Plenty of drainage holes. I had to put drainage holes in a pot for my husband's mother's plant. I will take a picture of it and post it so everyone can see the plant. Whoever planted it didn't put any drainage holes in it and when the rains came in it was drowning.

I got all 5 buckets planted. 1 contains sweet corn and green beans. 1 contains San marzono tomato, Basil and lettuce. 1 contains sweet red pepper spinach Swiss Chard and marigolds. 1 contains borage, thyme, chervil and lovage. The last one has Tai, Serrano and poblano peppers with spinach and lemon balm. I planted the chamomile, marjoram and 4 different types of mint in the big pallet bed.
