Overwintering Banana Plants

That's a good idea for saving the banana trees. not all people do this, most people just leave them there and frost up, then eventually die. I hope you can maintain it inside.

Yeah... I was thinking that you will really gonna lose some, since it's not planted, spacially when its gonna take some weeks or 2... I hope they doing great.

Not yet, but there's hope. My musa Manzanos are the ones I want to see fruit

That’s dedication. My sister, lives barely north of Houston, has banana trees around her pool. She just cuts them back. They sprout back out in the spring.

Hows your bananas? are they okay? When exactly do you plan to replant then outside? are they really gonna survive out of the soil for longer?

Around this time is when I replant them, so when it's finally warm enough (May) they already have some good growth when I put them in the ground

I have already put into pots everything that survived. Some had obvious rot, so those got thrown in the woods, but most are getting back to business. The ensete maurellis really respond well to this
