I have been thinking about these things a little.

The simple reason is that I have a need for a fence/windbreak for the garden. Perhaps a ground cover or a vine would be appropriate for a pallet garden. The neighbor certainly has a fun fence each year with her Scarlet Runner beans but I think that it would be better for me to have something that would be attractive thru the winter.

Ideas?

Liora, welcome back! :)

I know what you mean about signing up for something and then forgetting the password and stuff like that. Somewhere out there in cyberworld I have a proboard account with a confounding password and my name with some symbols or numbers after it.

That pallet garden project got put off for two reasons. One is because of what The Mama Chicken said. The first and larger pallet had paint on it and probably just tire stains or something on it, but I decided it was questionable, so I got another one smaller, but very clean and only smelled like wood.

By the time I put netting onto it the season of many campers here and work parties was happening, plus my soil reserves get low during the dry seasons.

But I have it ready to prepare soon as it begins the rainy season when I can get forest compost.

Thank you for reminding me! Sometimes I need a good push to get to it.

Marshall

Oh, Liora, what chapters do you want to write in the book collaboration?
