I thought these pansies were especially pretty today. I liked the stripes on the face of this one.

They are charming Rebbetzin :)!

And, this is good reminder for those of us who do not live in "zone 9/10" to start pansy seed indoors within the next few weeks.

They are about the earliest of the ornamentals to need that - if we want such pretty blooms in our yards in '10.

They are lovely! You are so lucky to be in zone 9- guess what my pansy's look like in zone 4!!!! Enjoy your flowers! Counting the days till spring!

Did you start your pansies? I started some in october and they are finally starting to look like more than just seedlings. Stil no blooms yet. what is your time frame for seed starting?

For five years I lived in Anchorage Alaska, and the pansies would be fine in the winter, under the layers of snow, if you dug down there would be the pansies happy as can be!! Fresh and still with flowers! I loved living in Alaska!!
