well ok then that rules my mother or sister picking me one if it is anywhere in any wooded area of any kind or in brambles or even if it would break a nail ..and really forget it if it is an ugly black glob I have to ask them if they have seen any ever or tried them

someday I have to travel there when they are ripe and find some or just go the the Pawpaw fest!

HiD, I will look and see if I can find any seeds still lying around. Could be some in my yard where my toddler wandered around nibbling on pawpaws this fall!

Here are some on eBay ending in about 40 minutes. Doesn't seem too pricey for how many you get. You could always sell or give away extra seeds.

Had to really search, but finally found a pic of their lovely bloom... The tree looks like it is hung with tons of little burgandy bells. So delicate and very pleasing to the eye.

I REALLY want to try a pawpaw fruit some time. I've read about the flavor of the fruit in catalogs and I would like to try it first hand. They grow wild around here in SW MI....but not by our house. I haven't been able to get around to finding any while they are ripe. Thanks for sharing all your info Journey...that's cool that you guys are able to enjoy them so much. And you guys have a pawpaw festival? cool!

The town just to the west of us is Paw Paw, Michigan....named after all the pawpaw trees that grow along the Paw Paw River....
