Today I enjoyed some pickleweed (sea asparagus)! It tastes just like wonderful baby asparagus! Yum!

it looks good. :)

as someone who doesn't salt foods when cooking/eating would i find them too salty to enjoy? i don't mind dried or smoked fish once in a while so it might be ok in some amounts, i just don't know if it would be too much.

i don't think they grow anywhere around here (being inland and not near any naturally salty marshes), but perhaps i'll be able to try them sometime. :)

Hi Flowerbug!
They are pretty salty. I was quite surprised. I didn't add any salt and I rinsed them in fresh water before steaming. Very tasty though! I've had them once before and they weren't salty. I guess it just depends on where u harvest them...
