Chills thanks.

the black plastic is for weeds and I put the hay down for the first time to see how it helps with weed control as well.

thanks
Mike

i thought that if i put in a drip to each plant i wouldnt have to deal with weeds, well obliviously a rookie move .. i like the plastic idea, do you throw it out each year, or cuz it has holes just replant in that spot?

thank you

Wow,

Very tidy, and very efficient-looking. I would dare to say "Bumper Crop" will be your motto this year!! Get the jars out now LOL

A garden certainly can reflect the person of which is its creator; you must be very meticulous and a very neat person. Even the hanging baskets along the fence is quite perfectly pleasing. LOL

I can see where you are going with the plastic. In your more detailed close-ups I can see a myriad of tiny seedlings already trying to buddy-up to your plants. You must have a very fertile environment. I also cannot help but notice all the intricate types of soil that your photographs show. I see everything from a sandy loam to a very black humus with pea gravel debri. Totally awesome. I get the feeling none of this is by accident. I like!

I bet before long the weeds that do manage to slow you down will look very quaintly and quietly in the background of all your lush growing veggies. Maybe even some fun summer flower surprises to make it really elegant.

Thank you for sharing. I look forward to seeing the overall results as the seasons progress.

Chills

I put new plastic down each year as it does not cost that much. I do leave it down all year and at spring pull it up and put new down.
I am thinking of using my grass clipings under my tomato, pepper and eggplants(anyone know some good eggplant recipes-first year growing them) to cut down on weeds under them.

If you keep talking like that i wont be able to get back out the door to my garden, my head is getting REALY BIG. If you look at the first pic in (some garden shot) you will see what looks like a kidds pool, but it was a sand box for my kidds. Wife or kidds where not happy when the garden had new sand and some how the sand in the sand box was gone:rolleyes:. they will get over it i hope.

thanks Mike

Nice looking garden ;) , wish my garden was like yours now. I especially love that BBQ, when you use it you could look out in the garden. The chicken coop looks great too.

:thumbsup Great job!!
