WOW........REALLY nice. I, kinda, like the idea id garlic growing in it's individual cylinders. How tall are the containers and do you have worries with them drying out too quickly, in this horrid heat?

Beautiful, I can see why you would love to spend your mornings out there. I love how you made your raised beds and I'm interested in knowing about the garlic too.

Thanks! :D

I definitely have to water them every day and they are just okay. They were doing great until the turkey's found them and ate them down to an inch tall. The picture is regrowth and its not as strong of a plant as they used to be. As long as they are watered every day in this heat they do just fine. I will really know how they did come harvest time.

That looks like a wonderful garden! You are doing good!

Tell us about the rocks. Are those from your own soil?

The soil doesn't look rocky. Maybe you brought them in for siding your raised beds, eh?

Just beautiful-you should love your garden-it is lovely! I thought I remembered you saying you were going to plant herbs in those "pipes" or does somebody else use that same material? Looks fabulous, enjoy!

Thank you all! I was originally going to put herbs in them but then someone gave me a bunch of garlic and since we love garlic... I thought I'd plant them in there. As well as everywhere else. :p

I brought some of the rocks from our friends house, but mostly my yard. We have a large rocky property (as well as my friends) They weren't all from my yard... but most of them were.

BTW I worked really hard for 3 years to have that soil the way it is now. But yes... I think my hard work has paid off. :)

WOW, Kohl Rabi, the alien veggie.
I picked one Monday and showed it to at least 10 people. Not one person had ever seen or heard of such a thing.

I actually just learned about Kohlrabi earlier this year. I thought it was a root vegetable! It's been very fun to see it grow!
