I just found a pack of Tulip bulbs I forgot to plant in the fall. They have been in the unheated garage all winter. Can I plant them now?

First...I am no flower expert...that beingsaid, I don't see why it wouldn't be ok tp lant them now. Being in an inheated garage should be the same as being dormant in the ground.

I agree... they should be fine since they were in the cold all winter. That's the most important part.

You may as well plant them, I mean, what else are you going to do with them? :p However they may not produce a viable flower (b/c no root growth) and indeed if you want them to live til next year (i.e unless you live in the extreme South where tulips are not perennial unless dug and refrigerated) then it would be BEST to pinch off any flower spike that tries to form, as soon as you see it.

I'd give them sort of a fifty fifty chance but you may as well go for it :)

Have fun, good luck,

Pat
