Planting with my post hole digger

I was reading So Lucky's post about putting a big hole in hard ground, with Lesa's reply to use a post hole digger, which brought to mind Mama Chicken's post about her new toy. Which then brought to mind some pics I had taken this early spring of me planting with my post hole digger.
I wasn't digging in hard ground, just deep holes 20/24 inches deep with the bottom 6" filled with manure compost then the plant set deep and finally filled with more compost.

I have a couple of these big green "toys" with lots of attachments, so they get put to use almost daily.

Look at that!

I think Rich has figured out how to grow a 1946 Plymouth coupe .

. . and it seems to involve using a John Deere!

Kinda right, there is a coupe, 1948 Ford, a pickup 1941 Ford and in the far background, the red with chrome on top, a 1940 Ford Fire Truck!!!
Actually the fire truck is not too far off topic so I'll tell a little story about that one.
I found it near Lake of the Ozarks in a free paper full of want adds. The fellow selling it would fill it with water from a fire hydrant every day and take 500 gallons of the liquid home each evening to water his garden. Saved a lot of wear and tear on his well pump.
Well the city of Eldon discovered what was going on and stopped the practice. He no longer had a use for the truck and I bought it.

It being a coupe is what threw me. I should have recognized a Ford.

This is what my brother has in his garage: '36 Ford 2-door sedan.

I wish he had it like this again. It once looked real good. The '36 was his 1st car.

Thats great! I can only imagine how much I could get planted with a trencher or a post hole digger.
