Post Your Garden Failures Here!

The only failures I've had this year was not getting around to planting cabbage, brussel sprouts, zucchini and cucumbers. Other than that, even the late planted okra is producing, even though the plants aren't very tall. I also haven't gotten around to digging my 3 new beds, but I'll get that done this Fall for 2014 planting.

Zucchini didn't produce any at all for me last year, and so far this year, none again. Only male flowers. My watermelons produced 4 melons, now they are rotting from all the rain we have had. All my tomatoes are dying from the bottom up. Birds ate most of my strawberries. On the bright side, cabbage did well. One kind of Russ' beans is producing well. Tomatoes have been producing well. Lots of cukes for what I planted. Everything else is so-so.

I am 0 for 5 in successfully growing cauliflower. Which really sucks because I LOVE cauliflower. And that is no results for 5 YEARS of trying.
I never had any good luck planting them in spring. Start them now for a fall crop and you might be successful. No guarantees.

Zucchini for me is feast or famine. This year-famine

The biggest disaster this year was the corn patch :lau
Between the blackbirds and weeds it was so so sad.
o'well have till next spring to work on it..

No pictures but my pumpkins never produced. TONs of male flowers, but the leaves were really pale for a long time (new garden bed and I've already ordered a soil sample kit) before new growth was properly colored and started to vine.

The 1 zucchini that produced a female flower actually started to produce fruit that had BER. Otherwise I'm doing ok given what I gave myself to work with.
