I was just wondering if I could plant potatoes in July? I live in the Texas Panhandle. I'm new to gardening. I started a little garden in april and I am having so much fun. I heard about the different ways of planting potatoes. I want to plant some, but idk if it is too late. Let me know. Thanx!

It's one of those, "What have you got to lose?" things, I think!

Go for it, and keep having fun! :)

Please let us know how they do! :happy_flower

Like Tutter, I figure you may as well go for it. I imagine you get a fairly long growing season in your neck of the woods. You may be picking them a little later than your neighbors, but its only the beggining of July, so they should do well.

Keep in mind that spuds like regular watering. so if it's hot and dry, be faithful.
