Question About Bee Keeping

Now THAT'S cool!!! Though I can see the death of many a bee from going home with people who have no idea what they are doing nor anyplace to keep them, but just bought them on impulse like they do the chicks.

This year our local farm supply store is selling bees as well as spring chicks for the first time. Not quite ready for that leap yet.
I like the idea! for us anyway. DH has to drive 2 .5 hours each direction to pick up his bee order.

How much honey does anyone use. By the time you buy everything you need ($600+), it is cheaper to go a local bee keeper and pay him.

@Nyboy I think unfiltered means they did not run it through filters to remove any small bits of wax, bees legs, etc... ;) and Unprocessed means it was not heated (like pasteurizing for milk.) All our honey is raw and unprocessed.
