Finally! We are getting the type of rain that we've been needing...a steady, soft soaking rain. We have really needed it and my garden is out there gulping it down as we speak...er..type.

We have been having similar weather here in my area of the UK. In some areas they have had thunder storms but so far not here.
The vegetables I transplanted are shooting up & the seeds are breaking through fast. It has also been a couple of degrees cooler so it's more comfortable to do things. I got my last raised bed planted up yesterday with cabbages etc. I eat a lot of those in the winter. I will cover the whole bed to protect them against the cabbage-white butterflies, the pigeons & my chickens........!! :barnie The chickens were being very nosey while I was planting; they had been allowed to help clear it so regarded it as their bed ...Hmmmm! WRONG! :smack

Happy Gardening everyone! I hope you all get the type of weather you need :happy_flower

We've gotten too many of those drenching down pours randomly. Not too thrilled with them... but all this humidity makes for crazy storms in the south. I'm glad you are getting a good long lasting real gardeners' rain.

We had rain yesterday, which we sorely needed- but it was 50 degrees!!! I could hear the tomatoes crying...They claim 80's this weekend...

I had a nice surprise when I woke up this morning. It rained last night. That's a real surprise for June in San Diego. Usually the best we can hope for this time of year is a light spritz or heavy fog.
