I don't think they're "trashy" either, Mandie! I love the bark(free)-side edges. Very "country chic"!! (and that's a GOOD thing!)
I'm envious at how much space you have established, and PLANTED!! I'm in central TX and haven't put a plant or seed in the ground! BUT.... the dirt I've been WAITING for is being delivered tomorrow ... YAY! More progress is always a good thing!!

Here are the same three beds (shown above), as they sit right NOW. They're ready for planting .... but I'm waiting on plants, and uh... a weekend! I had to cover them with all kinds of fencing, garden decor, etc, to keep the rascally roosters from kicking out all of my freshly turned & prepped soil!

I actually have both. 'tators in big semi-truck tires and 'maters and peppers in regular sized tires. I have an unlimited supply, I figured why not try it.
