Okay, Journey. I went back and changed my vote :).

No, I want us to be as productive as gardeners as we can be. I'm no whizbang gardener. Asking questions that make us think about what we are up to makes sense. Eye on the ball is what it encourages and what it takes.

This is a great topic!

I chose the 50-90 percentile vote. We don't eat fresh from our garden year 'round, but most of you have seen Dew and I during the canning season. We put up tons of vegetables as well as canned apples, peaches and apple and grape jelly.

What a cool sister you have!
I DO have a pretty cool sister. :-) She said that because of me that she's trying to do more "at home" things as well. She's been getting raw milk (which I'm SO jealous of!!) and making her own butter with it as well. She made some jellies and jams and even some spaghetti sauce from stuff she got at the farmers market where she lives.
I really need to start getting some "sugar free" canning recipes for jellies and jams and such. As soon as hubbies pay goes back up (Thanks VA!! You're SO HELPFUL :somad) we're going back to a lower carb no sugar diet. I lost 45 pounds last year doing it, and since we lost some of his retirement pay from the VA in October I've gained 35 back!!! :hit

Sure Jell comes in a no sugar-less sugar variety. It's in the pink box. It probably has recipes in it.
