Raw Greenbeans

Can greenbeans be eaten raw? In the back of my mind is beans can be toxic, untill cooked. Am I crazy?

I sure hope they're not toxic, else I'm a goner. Green beans straight off the bush/vine are one of my favorite snacks when I'm in the garden.

Yep...you can eat them raw for sure.

We have been eating them raw for all of my lifetime. Yummy garden snacks. Now the grandsons eat them straight from the vine, too.

Yes they are good raw. I have even made a type of marinated salad with them using Italian salad dressing.
