Here are some of my pepper plants with fruit on them already:
Can you help tell me when the are ready some of them I am not sure if the turn red or yellow, so I don't want them to go to waste if I am waiting for them to turn red but are really ready to pick.

The best rule of thumb with most peppers is to keep them producing, pick green or just when they start to turn color. However, IME, when they are left on the plant to mature then tend to be spicier.

We usually pick our peppers once they've reached maturity size or start to turn. I think hot cherry peppers go to about ping pong size? I'm not too sure but that sounds about right. And Jalapenos go to about 3 inches.

I am waiting for more to mature to start my hot sauce.
I have had peppers for 4 years. Unfortunatley the last 2 years they were wiped out by winds. I have been making hot sauce from farmer's market peppers.

I just saw a Cherry Hot at Home Depot yesterday...the pepper was ripe and bright red....I think you have a little more time to leave it on the plant.

Cherries = Wait until they are red they will have better flavor

Jalepanos = Good Dark Green or wait til they are red if you want the hotter.
