I think we are doomed, and I am complicit.

i try not to be, but i'm surrounded...

from what i've read the cleaner a plastic is the more likely it will be easily recycled. unfortunately after a container leaves here i have no control if it is actually recycled or not. i do not keep more than a few types of containers for using here because i don't have room for them all. i only use a few for some plants on the table here until i give them away aka rehome them.


At least I use almost nothing made of plastic in gardening. My tools and fences are steel, and garden decorations and containers mostly metal, wood, and glass.

add stones, bricks and cement chunks to that and i'm doing about the same.

Well, not fully for gardening, but as chickens are living in the garden - part of the garden anyway. Yogurt containers for oyster shell and roasted egg shells for the hens.
