My hubby's company is between big jobs so he is doing a new deck for one of the boss' friends. He pulled out the old redwood decking (2x10's) and is replacing it with some kind of fake wood that doesn't need to be painted. Now all $8000 worth of redwood was headed for the dump, so hubby asked if he could bring it home. They didn't care, so now we have a whole butt load of redwood. Now to figure out what to build out of it. :weee

(Note to self: envy is not an attractive trait.)

Wow, nice score! A garden shed/storage shed would be my first thought. Or how about a nice arbor or seven. Maybe a pergola? Ooooh, the possibilities!

Nice! Redwood makes terrific raised beds if you need that sort of thing.
We scored old redwood and cedar decking a few years ago and built the coop out of it.

How about something for that new cow? ;) Like an enclosure to keep something in for it? I can't wait until you get that cow and hear about your fresh milk and making cheese and butter!
