Red Oak?

I want to say it's a northern red oak, but is it?



I keep second guessing myself and thinking "is it pin oak?" But the tree profile doesnt look right for a pin

At this point I think this is a hybrid between the two. They can crossbreed pretty well, so I'm guessing that's what happened. It's just odd since the previous owners who planted them must have specifically gone after the mix since they planted 5 or 6 of them

Being from the PNW I don’t know much about oak trees. But those are some nice mature trees

Wait... a pin oak has long narrow leaves .. doesn't it???


eta: Well I'll be... after all these years - and EVERYONE knowing exactly what I was talking about when I said Pin Oak, and they're really WILLOW OAK...
