I use Root Tone powder on most cuttings.
On the hard to root guys I dip in Rootech gel.
This stuff will root a toothpick!

I got the Root Tone at kmart years ago, this stuff goes a long way!
Buy the small container. Most places have it.
Rootech I obtained from a Hydro shop. I have not seen it any were else.

Cuttings often wilt no matter what you do to keep them humid.
This is were Anti-Wilt comes in to play! It is made by different companies.

It is a concentrate that you mix with water and spray on your cutting's leaves top and bottom. It seals in it's moisture long enough for the cutting to start to root and take up fluids.Broke Down Ranch said:

Do you mean.... "Wilt-Pruf", "Wilt-Stop" ... an anti-desiccant that you can buy at most greenhouses or nurseries?
There are a few brands out there. I use it on new transplants so that they don't give up their moisture as they adjust to new surroundings. Spray it generously on all parts of the plant, top and bottom of leaves.

I've been told that you can use honey as a rooting dip. Have you tried this?
I'm in the process of cleaning up and taking in my geraniums- l pelargoniums - before a frost sets in... trimming and rooting some cuttings. Someone told me they use honey as a dip for rooting the cuttings.
