I have had great success with mini roses. They are Really tough!
My favorite carefree and smelly rose is my yellow (bush) knockout. I can smell it 10 ft away and the smell wafts into the garage when I am working there in the summer.
Blooms all summer.
Thrives with neglect.
I have lost more red roses that kicked the bucket than I care to admit.

I got an old rose magazine from the “free table” at the library. It has some nice photos!

Here are some of the roses from Breck’s catalogue. I love the purple one on the bottom right, but $40 plus shipping for one bare root is a lot. For me anyway. The ones at Tractor Supply and Costco were only $14!

Everyone's roses are so lovely. DH and I have killed more roses than we can count! I carried Sonja roses in my wedding bouquet. So, they may be my favorite color. I have always loved Peace roses since my Grandma E. grew them.

Hardy Canadian Roses because they come on their own root stock and will grow here without having to take extraordinary care to over winter them.

Nice! I have a few red knockouts. They are fantastic bloomers, but I like something with a bit more... personality. Hybrid teas are so much prettier, in my opinion.
