My daughter is doing a science project. Which fertilizer works best goat, rabbit, chicken, horse, cow, commercial or none. We are trying to grow corn. So far horse is winning with the worst tie at chicken and commercial.

It's interesting.

I would be interested in finding out where the rabbits come in.

I have chickens and rabbits. I know that you cannot use the chicken waste for a year or it will just burn your plants.

The rabbits I can use sooner but I am not planting yet so I have just been throwing both into the compost pile.
I think between the two and everything else I have in there I should have some good compost going on this summer.

This info is from John Seymours "The Self Sufficient Life and how to Live it"

nitrogen phosporus potash calcium

pig manure .48 .58 .36 --

cow manure .44 .12 .04 --

compost .50 .27 .81 --

poultry manure 1.66 .91 .48 --

pigeon manure 5.84 2.10 1.77 --

Just thought this might be helpful to your project

Thanks for the welcome and the info

As of today Cow and Horse are tied for 1st
Rabbit and Goat is tied for 2nd
Nothing is 3rd
Chicken is 4
Commercial is last

It's amazing how fast they are growing. That cow caught up with horse. I will keep you posted.
