We foraged some Siberian Miners Lettuce yesterday on a hike and I made tacos with homemade tortillas.

I just bet that if Dahlia watches any teevee at all ... She watches Lee Stroud's Wild Harvest.

Quite a marathon of his PBS shows on this weekend.

The most recent this AM had miners lettuce salad with the cattail roots and steelhead trout :).

I don't watch TV anymore. I used to spend LOTS of time watching TV. I quit when I was 18. There are so many more awesome things to spend my time! I do, however, still watch movies for fun at night. I would have been in to the Miners Lettuce salad with cattail as I have enjoyed both of those greens and enjoyed them very much! I have also enjoyed "silvers," sockeye, and steelhead salmon many times!

Okay ;),

Think about this: a rosehip sauce for the next grouse you harvest.

;) This is a little up my alley but it will have to be a chicken because I haven't shot a grouse in decades. (Used to have a friend who was so good at hunting grouse, if he didn't harvest one after work most every afternoon, it seemed to be an embarrassment to him. Well, I suppose he is still a friend but he's now living 1,000 miles away.)

I do know the location of a very large wild rose that is just covered with hips. Will wait for a hard frost as advised to harvest.

;) Steve
