Sleep Over At Dads

Last night I had to go to a clients house for dinner. Dinner was in Riverdale a hour and half from Lagrange 10 minutes from my dads house. I decide to stay at my fathers house and mentioned it a week ago to dad. My sister sent me a email yesterday you better sleep over its all he talked about for 2 days. I got there about 9:30 the house was like a oven. My parents always kept the house on cool side because of the price of heating a large white elephant. My dad had a movie he wanted to watch together, I had a long day and needed to get up early, was only able to watch for a half hour then I needed bed. By 2am I could not stand the heat I got up and lowered it planing on raising when I woke up ( didn't happen )I was able to sleep a extra hour and half this morning being much closer to work. my dad kept telling me this was still my home and I could stay as much as I wanted

Two of my little boys are coming to dinner tonight while their Mom gets her hair cut. I know the begging that will follow. Once they are fed the rest is easy. Popcorn, ice cream, movie, bed.

Awwwwwwww!!! So sweet that you could sleep over and that he was so excited over it. I agree with the others....make that happen as often as you can, if you can. Next time maybe go less tired so you can watch movies, play cards or whatever brings him joy. What a blessing to have a dad who actually WANTS you around and has the mind left to interact with you.
