Snow! My garden is DeaD

We had a snowstorm last night.
1 1/2 inches were still on the ground this morning.

I went in to look at the snow storm, and went away with a great sounding macaroon recipe.. thanks! I know what you mean about needing a rest, will miss all those yard and garden shots tho

My son in the Twin Cities sent me photo's of his yard and the nearby playground.

Everything was snow-covered and he said the garden was "devastated."

Serious frost came so late this year that I was halfway expecting it to snow first. With a little overkill, record low temperatures have hit hard! It may go down into the teens, by tomorrow morning.

I think the cold may have even put a stop to the snapdragons and things like bok choy and mustard greens. My snow peas look gone . . .

But, not 1 snowflake has fallen.

Going to bed with a prediction of 30 here tonight, major drop from low 40s all in one 24 hour time. Leaves have been slow to turn, getting some pretty stuff the last few days,now it may just go brown.

I can only imagine lows like that at this time of the year.
I expect the low to get to about 76* tonight if even that cool.

I would not give up this climate for anything! "Unless you have something cool to trade!" LOL

I am so sorry. I talked to my friend in Montana and she said it is snowing and cold. I am definitely enjoying the South.
