The best tomato I've picked green to ripen indoors was "Czechoslovakian" (an heirloom from SSE) and another heirloom, "Cipolla's Pride", which could be its twin. Both are large, very firm 7-9 oz. plum tomatoes, with thick walls. Harvested in early October & left in a basket in my unheated garage (then moved to the greenhouse when the garage got too cold) many lasted until Christmas.
