Okay I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way on how to collect spring phlox seeds ...this is the tall variety( up here found on the road side) and the seed pods are long and narrow and branch out from a main stem .. There starting to turn yellowish now....should I cut them off at the bottom of the flower stem and then hang them with a loose gargage bag to collect the seeds ?
Also I have let my asparagus plants go to seed and the seeds are now turning red .....Can I save them and then plant them in pots indoors .... How many in a pot?....I have heard it takes a long time for the plant to mature ? until ediable ....then plant them in the garden when ready ?......I have done this with my asparagus fern house plant and it worked.
thanks so much , Its nice to be back ,.....

I don't know about spring phlox, but that does sound like a good idea.

To collect Jacob's Ladder seeds, I just wait for the flowers to shribble up, and 'go to seed', and just pluck the 'fruit' off. The garbage-bag method sounds easier.
